Lisa Petty - Founder & CEO

Fueled by a mission to support Better-for-You brands, I bring over nearly two decades in the transportation and logistics industry and lead CalGal Freight Solutions with a focus on partnership, clarity, and long-term growth.
I founded CalGal to move beyond the traditional brokerage model and build a team that operates as a true extension of our customers’ businesses. I’m deeply involved in shaping our sales strategy, customer partnerships, and the operational systems that ensure what we promise is delivered, consistently and with care.
Family and wellness play a central role in how I live and lead. After building my career in Southern California, my family and I relocated to Georgia while continuing to grow CalGal as a national logistics partner. I believe taking care of the mind and body directly impacts how we show up for our customers and our team.
As part of CalGal’s commitment to supporting companies that make a positive impact, I joined Sarilla’s founder, Sara Delaney, on a Crop-to-Cup tour in Rwanda. Seeing their sustainable sourcing and community initiatives firsthand reinforced our passion for partnering with brands that are driving meaningful, lasting change.
While CalGal’s roots began in Southern California, the company has grown into a nationally recognized logistics partner, serving customers across the United States.
Tyler Timmerman - Director of Operations
Hi, I’m Tyler!
I’m originally from Michigan, but I moved to Arizona in 2016 to trade snowstorms for sunshine.

I am the Director of Operations at CalGal, where I oversee the day-to-day execution of our freight operations and ensure our customers receive consistent, reliable, and proactive support. My role includes leading quoting and booking workflows, coordinating appointments, overseeing shipment tracking and issue resolution, and managing claims, making sure nothing falls through the cracks as our customers grow.
I’ve been in the freight industry since 2014 and have held roles across sales, account management, claims, and issue resolution. That experience allows me to see the full picture and proactively support both our customers and our internal team. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Finance from Grand Valley State University.
What I love most about working at CalGal is the culture. Lisa truly empowers the team while also caring about us as people, not just employees. That support carries through to how we work with our customers: as partners invested in their growth and long-term success.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my two kids, golfing, or playing games.
Johanny Ventura - Senior Operations Specialist
Hi, I’m Johanny!
I’m based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and originally from San Felipe, Puerto Plata. At CalGal, I work in Operations, focusing on logistics coordination, customer support, and brokerage. My day-to-day includes coordinating shipments, preparing and managing quotes, and maintaining close, efficient communication with customers to ensure smooth and reliable service.
I’ve been working in the freight and logistics industry for 3.5 years, with over 10 years of experience in customer care–related roles. My background has helped me develop strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, which I use daily to support both our customers and internal teams.
What I enjoy most about working at CalGal is being part of a female-owned logistics provider that truly focuses on helping companies meet their goals. I value the strong team culture, supportive leadership, and the company’s commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience through clear communication and trusted partnerships as our customers grow.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with animals and being in touch with nature through activities like camping and going to the beach. I grew up close to the ocean and around animals, which shaped my love for nature. I also enjoy traveling, reading, cooking, focusing on wellness, and spending quality time with my family.
Maria Moran - Operations Support Specialist
Hi, I’m Maria.
I’m based in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and originally from Miami, Florida. I currently work at CalGal, where I focus on tracking and tracing as part of my day-to-day responsibilities. I entered the freight industry in 2025, bringing a background in early childhood education and library services.
What I enjoy most about working at CalGal is the culture and strong sense of teamwork, as well as the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for our customers. I love that we partner closely with them and support their growth.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and hiking.
